Tired Students is a sculpture of 26 seats made of end-of-life recycled tires. The grouping of seats will be based on configurations derived from an architectural study of how positioning affects the way humans interact with each other. The sculpture will be situated on the Concordia Visual Arts Courtyard at 395 René-Lévesque Blvd.

For a year, students, teachers, and bystanders will be invited to inhabit the VA courtyard in a new way. Tired Students will invite everyone to sit, discuss or even create an event in an outside space linked to the VA building. Situated downtown, free access to public space in this part of the city is not easy to find. This project will allow the Concordia community to gather and enjoy the courtyard space of the VA.
