CURE is working on developing a website that would help increase accessibility to mental health services by listing racialized mental health professionals. Often, racialized people do not seek support for their mental health needs due to the systemic racism they face as well as stigma in our society. Developing this website would mean offering people a space to discuss these issues and get the support they need from racialized professionals who may have their own personal experiences with systemic racism. This can help alleviate a huge barrier for many racialized people seeking support for their mental health needs by creating access to safer therapeutic spaces.
