The goal of this project is to make packaging that is durable such that it can be reused multiple times, cutting down on the need for single-use packages that are currently the norm in the shipping industry. Therefore, single-use packaging would be rendered unnecessary with reusable packaging alternatives. By finding better ways to ship packages, less waste will be created for the sole purpose of shipping through boxes, envelopes, packing peanuts, and bubble wrap while also taking waste that is already in circulation and giving it a second life.

While it is important to note that these packages will likely not be able to be reused in perpetuity, they would be able to be reused numerous times, thus reducing the environmental impact from the creation of new materials. Our project addresses Responsible Consumption and Production and Climate Action of the Sustainable Development Goals outlined by the United Nations.
