Sustainable Practices (formerly Sustainable Stitches)

This project proposes a series of recurring, hands-on workshops at Concordia University focused on clothing design, garment construction, repair, alteration, and textile upcycling. Open to students, staff, and the broader community, the workshops will accommodate all skill levels through themed sessions and personalized guidance. By transforming existing garments and reused materials into new creations, the initiative promotes creativity, practical skill development, waste reduction, and sustainable fashion practices. Building on the success of a similar initiative previously led at McGill University, the project aims to foster an inclusive, creative, and environmentally conscious campus community.
