Farfelle is a Fiction/Documentary split film which focuses on the dichotomy of sacrifice and love, found within the relationship of one Nonna (Italian for grandmother) and her grandson. The film takes place during one visit to Nonna’s house, in which Jeremy- the grandson engages with concepts of cultural assimilation and passivity.

The film is a call to action for all the second/third generation Italian- Canadians to preserve the traditions, memories, and sacrifices of ancestors. The film is a comment on the fight against assimilation.
