The purpose of the Cycle2Charge project is to promote sustainability at JMSBG and other John Molson School of Business (JMSB) events. This project aims to build an electricity generator that charges a power pack. To generate electricity the generator (that also serves as a stand) is attached to a bicycle. When an individual pedals the bicycle electricity is generated. The power pack can supply electricity for a wide variety of applications, such as charging phones, running a blender, running a movie projector and so on.
It serves as a way to introduce the conversation on sustainability and to illustrate an alternate approach to generating power. We want to encourage individuals think about their energy usage and consumption.
