Le Petit Velo Rouge (LPVR), a nonhierarchical, not for profit bike organization, was founded in 2010 with the short-term goal of repairing used bicycles for sale to students at Concordia and across Montreal campuses. In September 2016, LPVR officially opened its doors to the community and has since then operated regular weekly shifts. LPVR, which once focused all its energy towards repairing and selling used bicycles, is now planning to diversify its activities in order to fill a need and to benefit the community ofstudents,staff, faculty and neighboursin NDG. Today, LPVR’s mission is to promote sustainability and active transportation by fixing and selling refurbished bikes, and through educational outreach (workshops, events, resources).
