The automated plant box is a closed-off environment that aims to efficiently reduce user input for the growth of tomatoes from seed to fruit. The tomato plants will be grown in an automated aeroponic system which mists the roots with a nutrient dense solution allowing accelerated growth. Also, the temperature, humidity, ventilation, light cycle, and lighting intensity will be controlled inside the plant box. The long-term goal of this project would be to expand this technology to grow
other forms of produce.
