First organized in January 2015, First Voices week brings together organizations throughout the Concordia community including (but not limited to) the Indigenous Student Council, First Peoples Studies Member Association, the Aboriginal Student Resource Center to coordinate a week of social, cultural, political and academic events about First Peoples on campus and across Canada. This year, organizers hope to build on the successes of Concordia’s initial First Voices week. From January 30th – February 3rd 2017, the organizing committee has a large quantity and wide diversity of events in the works.
