The objective of this project is to systematically break down barriers preventing the Afro-Canadian population from collectively healing from childhood sexual trauma. Through different awareness initiatives, the goal is to invoke conversations surrounding the taboo topic of childhood sexual trauma within the different African and diaspora African communities.

A two-day event will be conducted as the main initiative toward the healing process. Workshops will be held to provide awareness about the different resources available for childhood sexual trauma within Concordia, the Black community, and Montreal. Conferences will be organized to gain a better understanding of the issues surrounding Black wellness. Finally, different healing-therapy sessions will be held to encourage participants to acknowledge their trauma and work towards healing. This healing will empower survivors to gain confidence, and improve their functionality in general whiles contributing immensely to society.
