This project supports the winter-term implementation of Black Healing Fund (BHF)’s Community X Practitioner Link Up and REFRESH programming for Black Concordia students. The initiative will provide free, culturally affirming mental health, wellness, and care services through contracted Black practitioners. Available funds will enable practitioners and BHF community members in hosting on-campus REFRESH pop-up care clinics, delivering a student-facing community care toolkit workshop, and provide honoraria for organizers coordinating the work. The project focuses on reducing financial and systemic barriers to care during academically intensive periods, while strengthening sustainable, community-based wellness infrastructure. All activities will take place during the winter semester and are designed to complement, rather than replace, Black Healing Fund’s broader ongoing programming.
