The overarching objective of the Climate Emergency Committee is to increase understanding of the natural processes behind climate systems and raise awareness of human induced processes that are leading to the climate changing. We are a committee of graduate and undergraduate students studying climate and environmental science. Our shared goal is to help empower students, who might not otherwise have classes addressing climate change, by helping them to understand the basic facts of the climate crisis and their role in mitigating its effects.

We have two phases of our project:

  1. Climate Geopardy in-class presentations
  2. Accompanying online lesson plans (allows more educators to easily access the information and sustains the project beyond our spatial and temporal limitations.)
