#BSAMmontreal2017 is a community gathering focused on a Montréal/ Canadian-centered dialogue on the improvement of Black and Afrocentric presence in the arts that will take place on September 27th, 2017 at Concordia University. We have visions of a future that values and encourages artists of colour in the realization of their work and social justice and equity for the marginalized black community. It brings together professional and emergent creative talent from Concordia University and the Montreal-area working within the speculative arts to share their work, ideas, and gain professional and social connections. #BSAMmontreal2017 will highlight the work of community organizations and art producers through keynote speakers; panel discussions; interactive performances; film screenings; live performances;; graphic artists, artisans and art merchant vendors.
