The Garnet Key Society proposes the first iteration of its Student Leadership Conference, or SLC, to take place in early May. The SLC will be an all-day event, boasting influential keynote speakers and showcasing Concordia students through posters and case competitions. This event will also host workshops in conjunction with multiple student associations, clubs, and organizations around Montreal. The event will be concluded with an entertainment portion, which will give the floor to talented musicians to perform, and allow us to celebrate the end of term.

Part of the Garnet Key mandate is community involvement, and this year, we chose to support indigenous reconciliation, a cause that is both personally important to us, and of great relevance in the current political climate. To highlight the 64th cohort’s commitment, all proceeds will be donated to the Resilience Montreal homeless shelter, with whom we have partnered for the 2021-2022 academic year. Throughout the day, the Student Leadership Conference will host multiple keynote speakers, workshops, and other events such as an art sale to raise funds.
