Come to our online AGM and learn what we’ve been up to! You’ll get to hear about the social and environmental projects we’ve funded, our new partnerships, and the release of our new Strategic Directions. You can stay up to date with news about our AGM here.

If you are interested in contributing to a culture of sustainability on campus, voting to fund sustainability projects, and learning more about sustainability at Concordia you should think about joining the SAF’s Board of Directors! We are looking to fill 6 positions. You can find more information at the bottom of this page!

All are invited to attend our AGM however, to exercise voting rights, you must be a Concordia undergraduate or graduate student (please bring your student ID) who has not opted out of the SAF fee-levy, or a Concordia staff, faculty, alumni, or involved in the Concordia community in some way.

6:45 pm – 7:15 pm: Board of Directors Elections and Appointments
There are 6 positions open for election on the Board of Directors for 2020/2021. By sitting on the Board of Directors at SAF you can have your say about who represents the community while also meeting the appointed members from different Student Associations. Are you interested in getting involved in sustainability at Concordia University? Becoming a board member of the Sustainability Action Fund Concordia is a great place to start and continue to grow! ?
This year, there are 6 positions to be filled:
- 1 student at large (either Undergrad or Graduate student)
- 1 CSU Council Representative
- 1 Undergraduate student in the Gina Cody School of Engineering
- 1 Undergraduate student and CASA/JMSB representative
- 1 Concordia Faculty Member
- 1 Concordia Staff Member
The Sustainability Action Fund (SAF) is a granting organization for students who want to develop, coordinate, and foster high-impact sustainability projects at Concordia University. The Sustainability Action Fund is comprised of appointees from various student groups and associations. This aspect of the SAF’s governance is essential to ensuring that various perspectives and experiences of the student body are represented in the projects and research being approved for funding.
The Sustainability Action Fund Board of Directors is a one (1) year commitment, from November 2020 to September 2021. Directors are expected to dedicate around 10 hours per month to the organization:
- Board of Directors meetings – approximately 2 hours per month
- Committee meeting / work – approximately 2 hours per month
- Reviewing applications – approximately 2 hours per month
Committee work includes – Finances, Human Resources, Marketing and Advertising, and reviewing project applications with the Special Projects Committee.
Important Dates:
Potential Board members must be available to attend SAF’s Online Annual General Meeting on October 29th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
