On February 29, auspicious day of Leap year, Catherine Wild, Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts, and Alan Hochstein, Dean of the John Molson School of Business, were on hand for One Night Only: Theatre and Business Merge.

The impetuous for this gathering began in 2009, when the Department of Theatre moved from its beloved home on the Loyola campus to swanky new digs in none other than the John Molson School of Business. This new living arrangement provided ample material for Theatre students.

Enter Annabel Soutar, acclaimed playwright, founder of Porte-Parole and part-time Faculty member. Under her guidance, the students wrote Business Theatre: Fill Us In, a documentary-style play using a collection of interviews they had conducted with students, faculty and staff from both Faculties. The result was an honest, touching and often hilarious production by students and for students, which dealt with their everyday realities.”
